FIRE CUPPING
If Michael Phelps The Most Decorated Olympian Of All Times does it – why don’t you?
This TCM modality is known for centuries as a pleasant and relaxing procedure that helps to relieve muscle pain and tension for the client.
It is like an “inverted massage”. The cup is placed on the skin, but instead of applying a pressure on skin and underlying muscle, it creates suction and pulls skin up. Generally, it is a very pleasant feeling for the client.
This ancient healing technique is also very well-known in Russia, so I grew up being very familiar with fire cupping as it is known there as a remedy against cold.
Fire cupping is also proven as a helpful treatment against back pain, neck pain, rheumatism, cellulitis and many other health issues.
Once cups are applied, they can be left on the skin for a few minutes or after applying some oil on the skin, cups can be gently moved across the body, generating a pleasant massage-like feeling.
