ACUPUNCTURE

Ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine Wisdom

It is an ancient form of Chinese medicine involving the insertion of solid acupuncture needles into the skin at specific points on the body to achieve a therapeutic effect. Acupuncture is used to encourage natural healig, improve mood and vitality, reduce or relieve pain and improve function of affected areas on the body. It is safe and effective. Not everyone knows that acupuncture is often successfully used as an alternative to medications or even surgery in some cases.

The benefits of acupuncture are marvelous. For instance, it reduces muscle tension, increases range of motion in joints, boosts immunity, promotes relaxation, reduces swelling and acute pain an balances emotions. In addition, acupuncture can treat conditions such as headaches or migraines, depression, hypertension and hypotension, knee pain, low back pain, nausea and vomiting, neck pain, rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, insomnia, weight gain, low libido, infertility, cold and flu, asthma, sinusitis, fatigue, digestive issues, mood disorders, addictions, gynecological issues, emotional disturbances, to name a few. Acupuncture can treat many more conditions based on your specific needs.

Since I got my first experience with acupuncture as a patient, I keep enjoying it when I have a chance. I keep using acupuncture treatments when I need to improve my digestion, reduce stress, harmonize emotions, get rid of any pain, and build my immunity. I get acupuncture treatments with the first signs of flu and cold which quickly expels the pathogen and I am able to enjoy my normal life the next day. Acupuncture is my tool when I want to improve memory and help myself stay focused during studies. On the other hand, I use this modality to unwind in the end of the day to have a peaceful, sound and restful sleep.

To be honest, based on my personality, I like giving treatments even more than receiving some. I really enjoy the feeling of giving something that looks like a simple sequence of insertion and manipulation of the needles but at the same time I know that this modality is actually a powerful source of healing energy that boosts my clients’ ability to maintain their wellness and overall health. I sincerely believe that our bodies are meant to heal themselves and I like the idea that acupuncture helps to wake up these self-healing powers.
